What Is the HelpOS System

Summary

HelpOS is the built-in help system inside KnowledgeCity. It gives you a single place to find answers, ask questions, and request support without leaving the platform. HelpOS is available in both the admin console and the Learning Portal, so administrators and learners can get help right where they work.

Introduction

Whenever you have a question about KnowledgeCity, you do not need to search through outside websites or send a separate email. HelpOS brings everything into one convenient help center that opens directly inside the product. This article explains what HelpOS is, how to open it, and what each of its parts does so you can quickly get the help you need.

Key Concepts

HelpOS is organized into a few simple parts. Each part is designed for a different kind of help.

Articles

The Articles tab lets you search and read help articles. Type a keyword or a question, and HelpOS shows you the most relevant articles. This is the fastest way to learn how a feature works or to follow step by step instructions on your own. Use the Articles tab when you want to read a clear explanation or a how to guide.

Casey

Casey is the AI assistant inside HelpOS. You can chat with Casey in plain language and get instant answers to your questions. Casey is helpful when you want a quick response, when you are not sure which article to read, or when you want to describe your problem in your own words. Use Casey when you want an immediate, conversational answer.

Support

The Support area lets you create and track support requests, also called tickets. If your question needs a person to look into it, you can submit a request and then follow its progress in the same place. Use Support when your issue is specific to your account, when something is not working as expected, or when self service help is not enough.

HelpOS Inbox (for admins)

Administrators also get a HelpOS Inbox. The Inbox is where admins manage incoming support requests. It gives your organization a central spot to view, respond to, and keep track of the requests that learners and staff submit through HelpOS.

How to Open HelpOS

Opening HelpOS is quick and works the same way across the platform.

  1. Look at the bottom right corner of your screen.
  2. Click the HelpOS widget shown there.
  3. The HelpOS help center opens, and you can choose the Articles tab, chat with Casey, or go to Support.

Because the widget stays in the bottom right corner, you can open HelpOS at any time, whether you are in the admin console or the Learning Portal.

Conclusion

HelpOS is your all in one help center inside KnowledgeCity. Open it from the widget in the bottom right corner, then pick the part that fits your need: read a help article, chat with Casey for an instant answer, or submit a support request when you need more assistance. Administrators can also manage those requests from the HelpOS Inbox. With everything in one place, getting help is fast and simple.
